“I first met Dr. Simkovich in January of 1989 when my daughter, Angela was 8. The grade school she was attending wanted my husband and I to admit her to a facility in Pittsburgh to have her evaluated and put on drugs until she responded to their satisfaction. We refused to do so. My daughter talked about ending her life because of the pressure she was under. We were referred to Dr. Simkovich by another doctor. After several treatments, Angela was able to finally read for the first time. She was so excited. Angela also displayed autistic characteristics, and also would tear her own hair out, pinch herself, and bang her head on any hard surface she could find. This all stopped after Dr. Simkovich began treating her. Her physical abilities began to slowly improve also. Angela was born with a genetic disorder called fragile X syndrome, but despite that she is now a very happy person and lives life to the fullest.

My daughter Amanda had grand mal seizures on a daily basis, so we had Dr. Simkovich treat her. The seizures stopped and she hasn’t had one since she was 13. In January of 1997, Amanda was in a car accident and suffered a head injury. Her vision and hearing were affected, but four hours after Dr. Simkovich treated her, her vision returned to normal. The hearing returned to normal shortly after. My grandson, Nicholas, was born to parents who have addictions to alcohol and drugs. He was very aggressive at daycare with the other children, and would hide under chairs and tables when in social situations. At the age of two, he would go into rages and would wake up during the night screaming. When we would enter his room, he would leap out of his bed into our arms and shake until we could calm him down. When he entered kindergarten, he had trouble focusing on school work during class and at home. Nicholas began seeing Dr. Simkovich in 2010.

After several sessions with Dr. Simkovich, the rages stopped and Nicholas quit hiding under the furniture. His social skills improved and he can now focus on school work and has begun to read. The improvements were quite noticeable after each treatment. He is a much happier child, has made more friends, and gets along quite well with most everyone. Nicholas still receives treatments periodically, which keep him progressing further. I have hope for him now that he will become a productive adult.”

About fifteen years ago, I brought my daughter Lottie to you for treatment. As a first grader, she had difficulty concentrating, comprehending, and retaining her school work. I am proud to tell you that this summer, Lottie will graduate with the highest honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and plans to continue post-graduate studies to become a professor of art. Lottie still remembers the time she “had her head put back on straight,” as she calls it.

I suffered a concussion a couple of years ago from a student who hit me in the head with a bass drum mallet. I had memory issues and constant dizziness along with pressure and fullness in the head. I saw Dr. Simkovich and I am amazed how awesome I feel after just a week of treatments. He really cares about his patients and their well being. The whole staff are very friendly and I plan on telling everyone I know this is the place to go for treatment.
